Commute and SAVE

A high-quality private college education is available and affordable right here in the Ohio Valley!

Qualifying students in Ohio and West Virginia can save 50 percent off tuition--a savings of more than $9,350 each year and a minimum of $37,400 savings on a typical four-year college education.

How does it work?

Through a combination of Franciscan University scholarships and grants, 50 percent of each student's tuition will be covered. Plus, you can lower tuition costs even further is additional state and federal financial aid, such as the Pell Grant, Ohio Instructional Grant, Ohio Student Choice Grant, and work-study.

Who Qualifies?

The Franciscan Commuter Grant Program is available to graduating high school seniors who live within commuting distance, primarily Jefferson, Carroll, Harrison, Belmont, and Columbiana counties in Ohio, and Brooke and Hancock counties in West Virginia. To participate in the program you must gain admittance to Franciscan University or our Fresh Start Program, must be a full-time, day, commuter student, and must enroll directly for the first semester following your high school graduation.
