Rules for Official Visitors to Franciscan University of Steubenville
All guests must be officially registered through the Admissions Office.
All overnight on-campus guests must have a signed liability waiver form on file in the Admissions Office prior to arriving on campus.
Guests are not allowed to stay more than three nights in the residence halls.
All guests are expected to abide by the
policies of the University.
All guests must fill out the blue "Guest Form" with the housing host and the resident assistant of the building in which they are staying.
Failure to abide by the rules of the University can lead to the end of a guest's visit.
Some examples of the policies which are different from other universities are as follows:
Quiet hours are between 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 12:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
There is no visiting in student's bedrooms between members of the opposite sex, except during open hours: Friday: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Doors to the room must remain fully open.
All laws of the State of Ohio are observed. Legal drinking age in Ohio is 21. Underage drinking or possession and/or use of illegal substances will result in an immediate end to a guest's visit. These actions will prohibit the offender from enrolling at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
All rules of the University are governed by the hallmarks of Catholic, Christian, and Franciscan beliefs. It is our hope that our guests will experience this spirit of Franciscan hospitality.
