STEUBENVILLE, OH—The public is invited to attend at no cost the following evening sessions during Catholic adult conferences held this month at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
St. John Bosco Conference for Catechists and Religious Educators, Saturday, July 23, 7:00 p.m. Father J. Brian Bransfield, executive director of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Secretariat for Evangelization and Catechesis, will give a talk on the understanding of the human person in Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body, followed by a Holy Hour.
Applied Biblical Studies Conference, Thursday, July 28, 7:00 p.m. Dr. Edward Sri, co-founder of Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), will give a talk, "Boats, Fishing, Keys, and Rocks in Matthew 14-18," followed by a Holy Hour led by Father Pablo Gadenz, assistant professor of Biblical Studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University in New Jersey.
Defending the Faith Conference, Saturday, July 30, 7:00 p.m. Best-selling author and Franciscan University theologian Dr. Scott Hahn will give a talk, "Abba or Allah: The Difference It Makes." His talk will be followed by a Holy Hour led by EWTN host and author, Father Mitch Pacwa, SJ, who will deliver a homily titled, "Don't Maintain, Proclaim!"
