STEUBENVILLE, OH—A program for high school students interested in pursuing medical degrees will be held on October 10, in Sts. Cosmas and Damian Science Hall at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
The presentation will be held in Pugliese Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. and led by retired Franciscan University biology professor Ed Bessler. He will give an insider’s perspective on what qualifications universities and colleges seek in those pursuing medical degrees. The topics to be discussed include the classes students should take in high school and college, optimal test scores, the admissions process, and the advantages of Franciscan University’s Pre-Medical Program.
Pre-med students who attended Franciscan University typically score high on the MCATs and do exceptionally well transitioning to medical school.
The presentation is sponsored by Franciscan University’s Biology and Admissions Departments. Pre-registration is appreciated. Contact 740-283-6226 or sweiss@franciscan.edu to register.
