    Lacrosse starts, Basketball, and Swimming and Diving continue.

    STEUBENVILLE, OH— The women’s swimming and diving team got a huge upset win over Divison II Ursuline College on Senior Night, defeating the Lady Arrows 95-89. Numerous personal records were set and Franciscan’s freshman diver Kellie Rankin was named the AMCC Diver of the Week for the fourth time this season for her contributions to the victory...By beating Hilbert College for the second time this season, the Lady Barons women’s basketball team secured its best AMCC-record ever…The men’s basketball team dropped all three games this week as they still look for their first win of the season. Baron sophomore Joe Rine is currently ranked fourth nationally in Division III with 3.12 blocks per game.

    This week also marked the official start of practices for Franciscan’s inaugural men’s and women’s lacrosse teams under the guidance of head coaches Peter Rosaschi and Maura Conant.

    Coming up…

    The women’s and men’s basketball teams each play two home games this week, the first on Wednesday at 6 and 8 p.m., respectively, against the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, and then on Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m. against D’Youville College.
