San Francisco • Los Angeles • San Diego
February 17-25, 2015
Join Father Jonathan St. Andre, TOR, on a Lenten journey in prayer for Pope Francis and the Church.
The missions established by Blessed Junipero Serra and his fellow Franciscan friars brought the Catholic faith to the Pacific coast long before the Church in the United States crossed the Great Plains. Join us on a pilgrimage of faith as we visit some of these missions and other holy sites in cities like San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, cities that frequently took their name from those original Franciscan missions.

A letter from Father Jonathan
The Lord’s Peace be with you!
St. Francis of Assisi was a man who desired to be totally open to the Holy Spirit in his life. He also desired ongoing conversion. We, too, are called to a mission of ongoing conversion. What a blessed opportunity we have during Lent to literally take steps toward deeper conversion.
Please join us on a Franciscan University Pilgrimage as we follow in the footsteps of the friars who brought the Gospel to the Pacific coast. As pilgrims to many of the California Franciscan Missions, we too will have the opportunity to be in contact with the same Holy Spirit that led Francis and his friars. Our intention on this special Lenten journey is to unite in prayer for our Holy Father, Pope Francis and for the strengthening of the Universal Church. Each day, we will celebrate daily Eucharist and have the opportunity to pray with Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, Archbishop Jose Horacio Gomez of Los Angeles, Bishop Kevin Vann of Orange, and Bishop Cirilo Flores of San Diego as we travel the California Mission Trail.
We look forward to being with you!
Father Jonathan St. Andre, TOR
