A letter from Father Dave Pivonka

Dear Friend,

Peace and Blessing.

Please join me on an unforgettable pilgrimage to magnificent Ireland. Experience the glorious landscapes dotted with ancient monasteries and awe-inspiring cathedrals. While in Ireland you will be surrounded by the beauty of God's creation that gave rise to "green martyrdom."  The valleys of green, the cliffs of Moher, and the emerald bays of the Ring of Kerry all speak of God's beauty and glory. While in Ireland we will allow our senses to be captured by God's beauty and goodness and will invite this to a greater understanding of God's transcendence.

Pilgrims will experience the richness of Irish culture—the beauty of traditional Irish dance, the jovial fellowship of an ancient pub, and the Irish ballads and music that have touched the hearts and delighted the ears of generations of listeners.

While on pilgrimage we will visit holy sites such as Armagh, the spiritual center of Ireland for over 1,500 years, the Rock of Cashel where Saint Patrick is known to have prayed, and the cathedrals in Galway and Dublin. Of course no visit to Ireland would be complete without being able to pray in Knock, where in 1879 our Lady appeared in to a group of locals ranging from five years old to 75, forever changing this sleepy village.

Our itinerary will include daily Mass, rosary, personal prayer times, the sacrament of Confession, as well as an anointed praise and worship.

The impact that Irish Catholicism has had on the Church cannot be overstated. Consider taking this opportunity to experience the grace and beauty that is Ireland, "The Land of Saints and Scholars." If you have never experienced Ireland or even if you have been blessed to visit before, there are always graced experiences awaiting a pilgrim who journeys with an open heart.

Please join me in walking where saints and millions of pilgrims have walked.

Experience a pilgrimage of a lifetime.

God's peace,

Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR
Spiritual Director
