“I’ve always been teaching someone,” says Nicole. “teaching is in my genes.”
“I have an uncle with Down’s syndrome. He’s everybody’s favorite family member. and I was a nanny for a little boy who also has Down’s syndrome. He’s so loving and doesn’t take anything for granted. they both inspired me to look into special education.”
She had her first taste of missionary work this past December, when she headed to Jamaica with a Franciscan University missions of Peace team and fell in love with the work.
