| Joe Camerota Communications Major, Class of 2006 Hometown: Enfield, Connecticut One of the greatest things about Franciscan University is the professors. They all have a passion for knowledge, and that kind of passion is infectious. From them I’ve learned that there is always something new to learn, some new step to take, someplace new to go. That lesson is something I’ll take with me always. I’ll always be a student, no matter what I’m doing. As for what I hope to be doing, I want to take my communications degree and become a filmmaker. People are so hungry for truth right now, and the film industry has the potential to be a powerful vehicle for that truth. My time here at Franciscan is equipping me to do that, to present truth to people in a way that they can understand it and apply it to their lives. I don’t know if I could have done that without coming to Franciscan. This University has shown me the road less traveled and given me the courage to follow that road. It’s formed my character and my faith. It’s taught me how to get up when I fall. And in the end, that is what will make all the difference in my life. |
