Parents, Family, Alumni, Friends! Come celebrate, Franciscan style!
October 7-9 2011
Join our students, friars, faculty, and staff for a Franciscan Homecoming weekend, October 7-9, 2011, dedicated to thanking our heavenly Father for the many blessings enjoyed by Franciscan University of Steubenville. We are again looking forward to combining Parents Weekend, Alumni Reunion, and St. Francis Festival events into one grand weekend celebration.
We will celebrate and honor the life of our patron, St. Francis of Assisi on Friday night and the fun-filled St. Francis Festival on Saturday afternoon. Our Barons tennis and volleyball squads will take on visiting schools, and our rugby men will play an alumni rugby squad during the weekend.
There will be lots of food, fun, and games for young and old. Alumni are particularly invited to honor fellow alumni at the Alumni Awards reception and ceremony on Friday. Student, alumni, and local talent will be highlighted at entertainment events throughout the weekend. And of course we will celebrate our faith with Mass each day.
Young or old, parent or alum, coming from near or far, this weekend will prove to be a memorable time for you and for your family. Please plan to join us!
Vendors and Fundraisers Information
If you'd like to sell items at the St. Francis Festival or set up a fundraising booth please fill out the registration form. If you have questions about available booths and fundraisers please contact Joan McGlone at jmcglone@franciscan.edu.
Parents Weekend Events Registration
When you arrive on campus, stop by the information table in the J.C. Williams Center to receive a parking pass and updated schedule for the weekend.
Meals
Food service venues will be open throughout the weekend to purchase meals, snacks and drinks. Vendors and student organizations will offer food and drink for purchase at the St. Francis Festival.
Siblings and Young Children
Siblings 12 years of age or older may stay in the residence halls with prior permission from the residence director.
