STEUBENVILLE, OH—Franciscan University associate business professor Joseph Zoric will present his "Last Lecture" on Friday, September 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Anathan Theatre, Ground Floor, Egan Hall.
Zoric, MBA program director, is the latest in a series of university faculty to deliver the lecture he would give if it were his last.
"The central theme of my last lecture is that economic freedom is the key to prosperity," says Zoric, who will also expound on the importance of the right to private property and how entrepreneurial development of technology leads to increased prosperity.
A Franciscan University faculty member since 1971, Zoric teaches economics. He is a member of the National Association of Business Economists and on the Board of Academic Advisors for the Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions.
The lecture, sponsored by the Fine Arts Society, is free and open to the public. It will be followed by a reception.
