| Duties | Assist Scenic Designer and Theater Manager in construction and painting of sets and props for main stage and student productions in Anathan Theater. Ensure shop rules are followed. Assist in maintaining machines and shop space. Notify Theater Manager of shortages in inventory or equipment failures. Ensure tools are cleaned and returned to storage, properly. Construct, or modify, scenery and related props. Supervise other student employees. Other duties as assigned. |
| Qualifications | Knowledge of advanced construction techniques, familiarity with typical machines used in scenery construction, dependability, able to work independently and produce quality work under deadlines required. Previous experience working in the Anathan Theater scene shop, theater major, completed stagecraft, ability to do routine maintenance / trouble shooting of power tools desired. Knowledge of stage lighting and ability to hang and focus instruments. |
