| Duties | Manage a staff of 3-4 Resident Assistants including training, development, supervision and evaluation. Administer the housing policies within the residence hall. Maintenance of the facility. Explain and enforce the Code of Student Conduct and Residential Living policies. Oversee community development and programming within the hall that addresses the intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical needs of the residents. Refer residents for additional services as needed: Chaplains, campus counseling, career services, etc. |
| Qualifications | An understanding, embracing, and living out of the Christian values expressed in the Franciscan University Mission Statement. One year of full-time Residence Life experience preferred. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience in administration/management, supervision and staff development. Strong Catholic role model. Capacity to cope with challenges of a live-in position. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. |

| Notes | Essential Functions: Effective communication, both written and oral. Problem-solving with staff, students and parents. Crisis intervention in the residence hall and on-campus. Organizational skills and planning of events, activities and projects. Oversight of assigned budget. Discipline/Developmental Interventions with residents. Supervision, training, and evaluation of the Resident Assistant staff. Planning, leading and decision-making in hall staff meetings. Regular communication with the Director of Residence Life and the Coordinator of Residential Services. Other related tasks and duties. 35 hours per week. Evenings, weekends. Live in position. Paid a stipend, free room and board. |
