| Duties | To learn on the job how to provide setup and support for use of video conference and computer equipment for faculty, staff and students. To learn how to be responsible for security of equipment and to assist staff and faculty as assigned. Tech Buddies must take direction and training from level II, III, and IV Tech Buddies. Tech Buddy I is to learn the skills to be able to set up and run a video conference by themselves. This is an entry level position and this position will always work with a higher level Tech Buddy or staff member. |
| Qualifications | Tech Buddies must be able to demonstrate an interest in operating computer and audio/visual equipment. Tech Buddies must demonstrate an interest and strong desire to work with computer, communication and/or networking equipment. |

| Notes | Great attention must be paid to learning and understanding the quality of audio and video signals and, microphone and camera placement. Strict attention to the video conference in progress is essential. Tech Buddies may not do homework or surf the web while on the job. They must be willing to attend to the job at hand and not use computer equipment for their own pleasure. They must also report at least 20 minutes before the scheduled conference time in order to move and set up equipment. They must assist in take down and moving equipment back to its storage area. |
