Students in the Research Intensive Track receive formation from our internationally respected faculty specifically in those skills necessary for further study at the doctoral level.
The Research Intensive Track balances broad formation across the theological disciplines and specialization in one of these disciplines in view of further study. Each student takes 9 credits each in historical, systematic (counting Foundations of Moral Theology), and biblical theology along with an additional 9 credits in the chosen field of specialization, for a total of 36 credits.

Students must apply for admission to the Research Intensive Track.
Those who complete a thesis will do so in the last semester of course work.In order to register for the thesis, the student must have a thesis proposal approved by the end of the student’s second-to-last semester.
